We strongly believe in providing the best results possible with the smallest negative impact to the environment as possible. Goats are a great way to control non-native vegetation and clear brush without using large quantities of harmful chemicals. We will help you determine if goats are right for the management of your invasive plant problem. Then all you have to do is sit back and watch them eat.
Why Goats are Great:
- No chemicals required
- Can handle steep, difficult terrain
- Gentle on the land
- Leave great fertilizer
This is the future site of Spencer Park in Salisbury, NC. The property is rocky, somewhat steep in areas, and completely infested with Kudzu.
In a matter of weeks 42 goats have cut back much of the Kudzu, revealing the property's potential and some old equipment that had been long forgotten.
After a second treatment, the goats stopped the Kudzu from re-establishing itself before the cold weather set in. You can see that the goats also severed many of the vines that were strangling the trees.
This is a large site in the upper Hickory Nut Gorge. The property is rocky with large boulders, very steep, and completely infested with Kudzu and Tree of Heaven.
12 goats have been working hard to control that Kudzu. You can really see a drastic different at the fence line near the road.
This Kudzu is struggling to re-establish itself near the end of the growing season!
